At CI&T, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mid-Level Software Developer to join our team in Brasil. You will contribute to an innovative project in a collaborative, innovative, transforming, and multicultural environment.

Position Overview

As a Mid-Level Software Developer, you will support and evolve a strategic webhook-based integration solution. This role combines hands-on software development with Agentic SDLC practices, leveraging AI-powered capabilities to enhance codebase understanding, implementation, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Software Engineering

• Understand and contribute to the existing webhook codebase, architecture, integrations, and development practices.
• Implement new functionality, enhancements, and technical improvements.
• Address prioritized items from the project's engineering punch-out list, including defects, technical debt, and lower-complexity enhancements.
• Troubleshoot application and integration issues.
• Work with APIs, webhooks, authentication, authorization, permissions, and related integration components.
• Develop unit and integration tests and maintain code quality.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.

Agentic SDLC

• Use AI agents and agentic development tools to accelerate codebase discovery and technical understanding.
• Leverage agents to analyze existing code, identify dependencies, trace application flows, and surface potential issues.
• Use AI-assisted development for implementation, refactoring, debugging, test generation, and documentation.
• Apply agentic workflows to investigate defects and accelerate root-cause analysis.
• Identify technical debt and opportunities for code-quality improvements across the codebase.
• Validate and critically review AI-generated code to ensure engineering quality, security, reliability, and maintainability.

Collaboration

• Work closely with the Product Owner to understand requirements and clarify priorities.
• Collaborate with QA to investigate defects and ensure effective validation of changes.
• Document technical decisions, implementation details, and relevant operational knowledge.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with modern software development practices and version control.
• Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and system integrations.
• Strong understanding of HTTP, request/response patterns, authentication, and authorization.
• Experience working with and navigating an existing production codebase.
• Experience writing unit and/or integration tests.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in an Agile/iterative delivery environment.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in AI-assisted software development or Agentic SDLC practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI coding agents, agentic development tools, or AI-powered developer workflows.
• Experience with AWS services and cloud-native applications.
• Experience with serverless architectures, Lambda, API Gateway, or similar technologies.
• Experience with identity and access management.
• Experience with event-driven architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD and automated deployment.
• Experience with observability, logging, monitoring, and application diagnostics.

• Quickly develops a strong understanding of the existing codebase using both traditional engineering practices and agentic capabilities.
• Independently delivers prioritized items from the engineering punch-out list.
• Uses AI agents responsibly to accelerate development without compromising quality or security.
• Improves test coverage and code quality as part of implementation.
• Helps establish scalable Agentic SDLC practices that improve engineering productivity over time.
